Qualifications Summary
Project Controls Specialist with over 15 years of professional and US Army experience specializing in project
controls specializing in project scheduling and subcontract administration of large industrial capital
improvement, maintenance, and new build projects with an emphasis on the coordination of multiple
subcontractor schedules. Extensive knowledge of earned value management systems (EVMS) and production
planning of resources.
Professional Experience
Senior Project Scheduler / Schedule Analyst
US Army Corp of Engineers (Contracted – Health Facility Services)
New Darnall Army Medical Center Constructions - Fort Hood, TX
April 2013 – July 2014
Summary
I was contracted to the U S Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) to perform analysis of the prime contractor’s
monthly schedule update. This entailed reviewing the schedule update submittals and required supporting
documents, reports, and charts were in adherence to the specifications included in the prime contract.
Another aspect of the position was the analysis of the monthly schedule for integrity, discrepancies, inaccuracies,
and feasibility of the updated project plan. I was also responsible for examining the schedules and related
documents associated with the Prime Contractor’s Request for Equitable Adjustment (REA).
Achievements
Through my 13-month tenure, I was able to encourage the prime contractor to begin adherence to the contractual
specifications for the monthly pay request. This lead to a better understanding of both the monthly field progress
and to discuss during the Monthly Schedule Update Meeting the current plan of execution. This, in turn, provided
USACE a more accurate inspection schedule and gave management the ability to plan more accurately the workload
of the Quality Control resources.
Also, while assigned to the Fort Hood New Hospital Project, I was requested by the Senior Project Engineer to
provide training to the project staff on scheduling basics, as well as, how to read and interpret the schedules issued
to them monthly. One of the most amazing benefits of this was the new-found ability of the Quality and Technical
Engineers to ask questions about it! Another benefit – as I was informed by the Senior Project Engineer – is the
ability of these QC’s and TE’s to take the skills they’d learned for future USACE projects.

Achievements

project health aiding the project manager with decision-making.
I also aided a coworker in the use of advanced level Excel tools to create a master material tracking spreadsheet.

Project Controls Specialist IV
Fluor, Australia
Mining and Minerals Division – Adelaide / Coober Pedy, South Australia
August 2007 – April 2008
Summary
Assigned as the site infrastructure scheduler on a new mine site development in South Australia. Areas of
involvement in this project included permanent power and water, access roads, airfield construction, and
establishment of housing and support facilities for the mining camp. Working closely with a multitude of
subcontractors, it was my task to integrate and manage multiple schedules into one master schedule for
internal use and client approval.
Achievements
Major achievement for this project was the planning and coordination for the permanent power works. As the
project was in the Outback of South Australia, no permanent power was available in the immediate area. The
closest source for permanent power was at the BHP Biliton mining site at Olympic Dam at a distance of roughly
200km from Prominent Hill. The major obstacle was planning for work to the existing substation at Olympic Dam
during mill shutdowns so as to not expose BHP Biliton to any potential financial losses in the event that the work
being performed damaged the existing power grid.
